Burlington Freedom Day 2022: A Juneteenth Celebration
Burlington Freedom Day 2022 is a celebration of the national holiday, Juneteenth. This day commemorates when the last Black Americans enslaved in Galveston, Texas, were told about their freedom a full two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. You can find music, food, vendors, and a play zone for your children featuring free games, activities, and lunch. The event takes place on June 18th and June 19th from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. on both days. If the first weekend gets rained out, it has a rain date of June 25 and June 26 at the same time.

Sustainability Green Music and Arts Festival
The Sustainability Green Music and Arts Festival celebrates the opening day of the Farmer’s Market and serves as an opening for the Juneteenth celebration. This event is on Saturday, June 18, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. It features live music all day long from bands and other music groups. The event will also have art and craft vendors, the opening sales of farmers and other providers in the area, and games for children. It also features experts from the Dove Environment Center, who will provide lessons to eventgoers about sustainability and the environment.
