Those looking at buying a used car in New York<\/a> may have great credit and a knowledgeable dealer or auctioneer, but they could still be paying extra because of points on their license.<\/p>\n

Getting tickets or other violations may add points to a driver’s license, increasing the price of insurance to cover the vehicle, and until now going to class may have seemed like a tough prospect.<\/p>\n

A new online defensive driving course may allow used car buyers to lower the costs of operating a used auto in New York<\/a> without having to step foot in a classroom.<\/p>\n

If they take the Improv Aware course, they can knock up to four points off their license and reduce their car insurance bill by 10 percent for up to three years.<\/p>\n

“Traditionally, students who were required to take a defensive driving course in New York would have to give up a Saturday or a few evenings during the week to complete the class, which is often difficult for those who work long hours or have families at home,” said Improv Aware founder Gary Alexander.<\/p>\n
