A popular choice is to donate your car to charity, and you now have a new choice of charities. The National Federation of the Blind (NFB) recently announced it is partnering with Vehicles for Charity to accept donations in the form of cars, trucks, SUVs, boats, motorcycles and any other recreational vehicles you might have lying around.<\/p>\n
"We are pleased to announce this new vehicle donation program. By donating your vehicle to the National Federation of the Blind, you are helping to improve the lives of blind people across the country," said Dr. Marc Maurer, president of the NFB. "Your donation will go toward our work to increase the number of blind children learning Braille, to advocate for blind and other disabled persons to receive a fair working wage, and to ensure a brighter future for all blind Americans."<\/p>\n
This can be an especially appealing way to unload your vehicle if it is very old or not in great condition, as you won't likely get a lot of money for it by selling it or trading it in.
